Is it possible to read and write files from and to a network resource? We're talking Winblows here.
Say I have "\\queen\public\templates" and "\\queen\public\documents" and from "templates" I want to grab "foo.dot" and copy it to "documents" as "bar.doc". This operation would be handled by the intranet server named "\\duffy".
I understand we have to deal with security settings here to let "duffy" work on "queen". My main question is if this kind of operation can be handled with the standard "Stdio" module (read_file(), write_file()) or do I have to use some other techniques? It just occured to me I have never ever work with standard IO-operations over network before so it's new to me.
Argh! Don't bother. In my first test script I noticed I had missed a slash in the path. When I fixed that Stdio.read_file() did its job perfectly!
